My Best Moments
The Pantheon (Rome)
After the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon is on everyone's Rome to-see list. It's one of those places that strikes you with significance the moment you walk in, no matter which version of god you worship (or even if you don’t believe at all). The ancient temple-turned-church is often touted as the best preserved monument of the Roman Empire; even Michelangelo is said to have been in awe, calling it the work of angels.
Upon entering, imposing, dark marble surrounds you, a single beam of sunlight shining down from the oculus in the center of its dome like a greeting straight from heaven.
